Yes, it makes sense, but it depends on what exactly you mean by “mid-October.”

The 2026 club season in Ibiza ends between late September and mid-October, and the major closing parties at the superclubs (Pacha, Ushuaïa, Amnesia, and Hï) are concentrated in the first two weeks of October. Some dates have already been confirmed: Music On closes at Pacha on Friday, October 9, Glitterbox closes at Amnesia on the same day, Defected closes at Chinois on Thursday, October 8, and Sonny Fodera closes at Pacha on Monday, October 5.

So if you go around October 5–10, you’ll still experience the island at its best, with the most anticipated closing parties of the year. In fact, these events are often even better than the peak summer parties: the resident DJs usually play longer and more personal sets, and the crowd is made up of true music lovers rather than just passing tourists.

If, however, by “mid-October” you mean after October 15, there’s a good chance you’ll find that many venues have already closed for the season, although some legendary clubs, such as Circoloco at DC10, usually stay open until around October 18.

There are also several advantages to visiting Ibiza during this period: fewer crowds, significantly cheaper flights and hotels (typically 30–50% less than in August), and still excellent weather, with temperatures around 23–27°C and a warm sea.

The main downside is that tickets for the closing parties often sell out even faster than tickets for the opening parties, so if you decide to go, it’s worth booking them well in advance.
