  Watch out your drink!

  If you’re heading to Zante this summer, PLEASE be so careful. Drink spiking out there is actually insane right now. A friend in our group got spiked on the very first day at a boat party. We met so many other groups who said the exact same thing—at least one person with them had it happen too. We were being super careful, watching our drinks, using cup covers, and it still happened. Buy cup covers before you go, seriously.

  The strip itself is basically just one massive road. The further down you go towards the beach, the crazier and more packed it gets, while the very top of the strip is a bit more chilled. There are tons of late-night kebab places open 24/7, but honestly, avoid them because they looked absolutely filthy.

  Also, the big events are a total waste of cash and completely overrated. They oversell them so much that you literally cannot move. We went to a pool party that was disgusting, and after the spiking incident the day before, we just felt so unsafe. Save your money and rent a boat instead. This was the absolute highlight of our holiday. You can hire a private boat with your mates and you don’t even need a license to drive it. It’s so much fun, super affordable, and we just booked it straight through our hotel.

  Just make sure you have physical cash on you when you arrive because you have to pay a tourist tax at check-in, and they won’t take card for it. The price depends on how many stars your hotel has. Other than that, it doesn’t matter what time you start your night out. It is hardcore, non-stop partying until the sun comes up. Stay safe out there!
